OUR MINISTRIES
True Believers Holiness is a church that truly believers in outreach. Therefore we have a number of ministries within our church to effectively reach people of all ages and utilize the entire church body.
Prayer
True Believers is a church that truly believes in the power of prayer. Every morning our Believers Connect Prayer line is open at 6:30am where Christian Believers, regardless of church affiliation, can call in and summit prayer requests as well as offer prayer up for the body of Christ everywhere. Our Pastor and Wife team up to lead this prayer opportunity personally. Our Believers Connect Line is also open on Wednesday Nights at 7pm for Bible Study. Our Pastor teaches lessons over the phone line and allows real time interaction with the caller. The telephone number for our Believers Connect is (712)775-7035 access code 214908. Drama Ministry
Here at True Believers we have a world-class Drama Ministry. Our Pastor Bishop Lawson is an up and coming Playwriter and has writen several sucessful plays. Our drama team is a fine mixture of youth and adults and often includes some of our other ministries such as our praise dancers and mime team. Auditions for upcoming plays will appear in our event page so check periodically for updates.
Sunday school
Here at True Believers we believe that Sunday School is one of the most important areas in ministry because it reach every age. Therefore we have age appropriate classes designed for members toddler to senior adults. Our Sunday School Superintendent is Supt. Lenn Brownlee (Assistant Pastor). Sunday School begins at 8:15am on the second Sunday through 5th Sundays. On 1st Sundays our Pastor Bishop Lawson chooses whether to teach from the Sunday School Book or from the Bible as we have "Bishop's Class for Leaders" This class will take the place of Sunday School on those Sundays and also begins at 8:15am.
Youth
The youth department of True Believers are one of our core areas of Ministry. Our Pastor has the youth at heart and some have been quoted stating that Bishop Lawson would make a successful Youth Pastor. The youth here at True Believers are fully trainned in the area of church services as well as community involvement. We have a mime team, praise team, praise dancers, drama ministry, youth Sunday School, Vocational Bible School, 4th Sunday Youth Sunday, and other activities that really keep the youth involved. We also you several young up and coming singing groups such as The Gospel Angels and the Anointed Gospel Brother. Our Youth Director is Teacher Rita Brownlee wife of Supt. Lenn Brownlee. Teahcer Rita Brownlee is also the Youth Director for HOMA.
Music
Our music ministry consists of our choirs:Memphis Mega Choir and TB Youth Choir. We also have an Adult Praise Team and Youth Praise Team. The Choir President is Sister Tina Morton. Sister Morton along with our Minister of Music Brother Charlie Ashford Jr. prepare and arrange the songs or our worship services as well as performance songs when we are visiting other ministries. Choir rehearsal is every Tuesday and is open to all members.
